GÜKÇAM AT THE “CULTURE AT COP31” PLATFORM! – WOMEN’S CULTURE IN ANATOLIA AND THEIR ROLE AS TRANSMITTERS – October 25, 2026

Dear colleagues and friends,

The Gazi University Women and Family Research and Application Center (GÜKÇAM), Ankara, sends you all warm greetings.

As part of our initiatives within the scope of COP31 and the “Culture at COP31” platform, we are pleased to share details regarding one of the events we will be hosting on October 25, 2026:

“The Ancient Presence of Women in the Transmission of Cultural Memory: A Bioethical and Biopolitical Perspective.”

In this workshop, we will explore the interconnections between cultural heritage, women’s traditional ecological knowledge, climate justice, public health, and medical education.

This event is just one of many initiatives we have planned for the COP31 process. We place great value on contributing to the “Culture at COP31” platform, exchanging ideas with esteemed colleagues from various disciplines and institutions, and fostering new collaborations.

With our best regards,
Prof. Dr. Nesrin Çobanoğlu Yüksel
Director of GÜKÇAM – Gazi University
