Mission - Vision

Mission

The aim of GÜKÇAM is to conduct research and education activities at national and international levels in all areas related to the status and problems of women within the framework of empowering women in the social, economic and political spheres; to cooperate with and strengthen communication with national and international institutions and organizations working in this field; to provide consultancy services; to develop, implement and commission projects; to engage in publication activities; to organize events; to participate in events organized by other institutions and organizations; and to work towards and support student participation in projects by informing undergraduate and graduate students about these events.

Vision

In line with the vision defined for GÜKÇAM, four vision dimensions have been defined that determine and frame its strategic objectives.

Vision Dimension 1: To strengthen communication, establish cooperation and contribute to studies with national and international organizations working on the social status of women.

Vision Dimension 2: To organize courses, conferences, seminars, and congresses at national and international levels on women's rights, women's social status, and problems; to provide consultancy services; and to participate in events organized by other institutions and organizations.

Vision Dimension 3: To encourage the organization of courses and seminars on women and family studies in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs at the university, and to promote the writing of theses on these topics; to encourage the participation of students and faculty members in activities organized on these subjects.

Vision Dimension 4: To publish periodicals on women and family studies, to encourage the publication of such publications, to participate in and support publications; and to create a library and archive on the subject.
